Family members and friends have gathered in the late gospel artists home town, Isochi Umunneochi inside Abia State to bid farewell to the gospel musician who sang the popular song ´Ekueme´.She died on April 8 2022 from domestic violence.
Her body was received in her hometown in Amakpoke Umaku Community on June 25 at midday. Prior to her final journey, a night worship was held in Abuja on Thursday, June 23 while a night of prayer was held in Isochi, Umunoci in Abia State yesterday.

What Happened to Osinachi?
The Nigerian Gospel Artist died of domestic violence.Her husband deprived the deceased of her liberty by restraining her movement and locking her up in the house. After investigations, he was found guilty and charged for homicide, which is punishable to death.
Mr. Nwachukwu was also charged with subjecting the deceased to emotional,verbaland psychological abuse, contrary to section 14(1) of the VAP act, 2015.
The case was filed at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on May 20 2022, by the Head, Sexual and Gender-Based violence, Department of Public Prosecutions of the Federation, Ministryof Justice,Yewande Gbola -Awopetun.

Late Osinachi Nwachukwu was a Nigerian Gospel singer, songwriter and Minister of God. She became famous thanks to her hit song ´Ekueme´, by Prospa Chimana. She was married to Mr. Peter Nwachukwu and they are blessed with 3 kids.
