The Governor of the West Region has condemned the killings of soldiers by some separatist Groups, describing Tuesday’s attack as vile and satanic. He was speaking after some separatist’s fighters from ngo-ketunjia Division invaded gendarmerie check point in Njitapon ,a locality in the Noun Division, killing 5 soldiers and leaving several others wounded.
In an interview on CRTV’S platforms, he called on the population to be more vigilant and ensure that they collaborate with the defense and security forces.
“They came in from Bambalang through the water and attacked our soldiers, they used heavy weapons on them. It is regrettable that despite all the messages, these attacks continue to take place. We stand to condemn in very hard terms this act of terrorism in our region. We Equally want to seize this opportunity, to tell the population of this village that they should sit up and work with the forces of law and order.”
He however added that the perpetrators of this act will face the consequences.
“It is unacceptable that people will commit this kind of atrocities without villagers collaborating with the forces to put an end to it. The villagers need to sit up and understand that they are part of the defense forces in Cameroon. But however, this vile and satanic attack will stop”.
