The Board of Directors of ENEO Cameroon has announced the appointment of Moroccan born, Mr. Amine Homman Ludiye as the new General Manager, following the decision of Mr. Patrick Eeckelers to step down. The appointment was made during a special session of the Board held today in Yaoundé.As ENEO Cameroon enters a new phase, Mr. Amine Homman Ludiye assumes the role of General Manager, bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to drive the company forward. With his strong background in energy and leadership, it is expected that ENEO will continue its commitment to providing reliable electricity services to households, businesses, and industries, while contributing to the sector’s growth and development.
Focusing on Operational Excellence: Mr. Patrick Eeckelers’ Achievements.
During his 18-month tenure, Mr. Patrick Eeckelers, who initially joined Eneo as a Special Adviser in January 2022 and later became the General Manager in March 2022, prioritized the signing of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement and emphasized operational excellence. He worked towards enhancing financial management and driving the performance indicators of ENEO.
In his statement, Mr. Eeckelers expressed confidence in ENEO’s future prospects, stating, “Today, ENEO has a clearer investment vision for the years ahead, in contribution to the sector’s goals. With proper funding, and more collaboration with other actors, I believe the sector can meet the growing electricity needs of households, businesses, and industries. I am convinced that the management and workforce in place are up to the task.”
Introducing the New General Manager: Amine Homman Ludiye
Mr. Amine Homman Ludiye, who joined ENEO Cameroon in 2021 as the Deputy CEO in charge of Generation, has now been appointed as the General Manager. He previously served as an ENEO Board Director in 2022.
A highly experienced engineer in Energy, Mr. Homman Ludiye graduated from Ecole Polytech of Nantes and holds a Master’s degree from the IAE Nancy School of Management. He also obtained an Executive Master’s degree in Innovation and New Technologies from Ecole Polytechnique de Paris.
With nearly 30 years of extensive experience, Mr. Homman Ludiye began his career in France in 1995 at IDEX group, a company specializing in energy services and energy efficiency. Prior to joining ENEO, he held various positions within the industry, including project engineer, agency manager, and Regional Director. In 2010, he became the CEO of COFELY in Morocco, a subsidiary of ENGIE, where he played a pivotal role in developing energy services and facility management activities in North Africa.
In 2015, Mr. Homman Ludiye was appointed CEO of ENGIE North Africa, overseeing ENGIE’s operations in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt, particularly in the areas of Renewable Energy, Energy Infrastructure, and Energy Services. He also held several directorships within ENGIE until 2020.
