The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi on Friday, September 10,2022 inaugurated the newly constructed national Judo Dojo constructed by the Cameroon Judo Federation at the Soa neighborhood.
The highly attended ceremony was graced by the presence of the Japanese Ambassador to Cameroon, the President of the Cameroon National Olympic and Sports Committee, Colonel Hamad Kalkaba Malboum and a cream of sports men and women. The erection of the magnificent edifice in a trapezium-like figure is the outcome of the fruitful collaboration between the Cameroon Judo Federation and the Japanese Government.
“The Cameroon Judo federation is considered to be one of the most outstanding and respectful federations placed under the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education. They’re always conscious on the necessity of doing the right thing at the right time and at the right place. “
“Headed by a young and dynamic President, l am not surprised by the state of arts bringing us here today, but to tell him congratulations for history will always remember his wonderful deeds.” He added. To you Mr. Alain Kingue, you’ve been able to overcome many challenges and have devoted your life for the development of the discipline, l will encourage you to keep the flame burning. Remember my doors are always open”.

According to information gathered from the head of the N2N BTP building company, Ngue Raymond Olivier, the National Judo Dojo is implanted on a surface area of 750metres Square, with three floors. The downer part being the Dojo playing ground cover an area of 335 meters square, two dressing rooms for both male and female, two toilets, an infirmary, a parking store and an administrative toilet.
” I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the Japanese Government, for the wonderful and incredible support which they have been granting to our federation, so we may get the best of results. Also, to the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, we thank you so much, like Oliver Twist, we don’t have much to offer but we seek on more support. We equally want appreciate the numerous supports granted to our athletes whenever duty calls”.

The third floor of the building contains a conference room, administrative offices, toilets, archives room and restaurant. So far 80% of the construction works have been concluded. Left on the project site, is the building of a fence, gutters and the planting of carpet grass round the structure.
