Bertrand Mendouga is now the president of the African Boxing Confederation.He was elected recently during a meeting of its congress in Algiers ,which saw the election of some board of directors.
Mendouga before his appointment was the President of the Cameroon Boxing Federation.
Thanks to his rich expertise,he developed boxing in the country to the point where a quater of Cameroon’s entire team at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 was accompanied of boxers.
The masters degree holder will now have to use that knowledge to lead boxing throughout the continent.
After his appointment,he was received by Sports and Physical Education Minister Mouelle Kombi Narcisse .Their meeting focused on how to use the new continental office to develope the boxing discipline in the country.
With just 9 out of 15 executive bureau members elected during the congress,the new boss of African Boxing says coaching the African boxing Championship in Yaounde is Eminent.
