French Investigative Journalist Romain Molina makes serious revelations about Cameroon.In a video posted on YouTube,the journalist claimed that some players from Cameroon and Ghana,paid huge sums of money to be included in the World Cup Squad, and accused the federations of corruption and bribery.
Fecafoot later on debunked the information,accusing the journalist of trying to blackmail the federation.In a communique signed by the Secretary General Blaise Djounang,the journalist demanded the sum of 25,000 Euros to conceal the information.
“On November 23rd,the President of Fecafoot was contacted via WhatsApp by a correspondent called Romain Molina.He purpoted to have documents,and a flash drive containing audio and telephone conversations,that are harmful to the image of the federation and it’s President.
“Romain added that he was ready to renounce the publication of these elements,in exchange of payment of 25,000 Euros.”The communique explains.
According to the Secretary General of Fecafoot the journalist threatened to release the name of his sponsors who had already paid him 7000 Euros in advance and promised to pay a balance of 13,000 Euros, if the said sum is paid 25000 Euros is deposited in his account.
Failure to pay the amount,the journalist went on his YouTube channel and made the revelations about Cameroon’s players.
The Secretary General has however called on the population to stay calm, and beware of such person’s trying to destabilize the federation while promising to take legal action against him.
