The Ngoketunjia Students Youth’s and Cultural Association with Acronym NGOYSCA on September 3rd, converged at the Esplanade of the Yaoundé 6 Council in a Youth Scholarship and Cultural Conference to donate didactic materials, to some Internally displaced persons resident in Yaoundé and from the thirteen villages that makes up the Ngoketunjia division.
The event was equally an opportunity for the elites, to call on separatist fighters to allow the children go to school, and ensure the release of the Fon of Bambalang who was kidnapped.
The rich and colorful cultural Jamboree was marked by, the presence of a cream of members of government, who also double as elites from the Ngoketunjia division. They include; HRH Chafah Isaac XVI, Secretary General at the Senate, Honorable Njingum Musa, Prof Ufei Chinje Rector of the University of Ngaoundere ,Moh Sylvester Tangongho, managing Director of the State Treasury, at the Minister of Finance and the President General of NGODECA Ngangjoh Lamya Mama.
Overall, a total number of 330 students were awarded school bags, pens and other tools. Also, outstanding students with the most brilliant results in the 2022 GCE, were awarded scholarship programs by some vibrant elites from the division like, Dr Sylvanus Sama, CEO of SAMA and GOD Foundation.
The conference witnessed presentations on some prominent topics such as;

“Peace Building as a Collective Effort”, Mr Kohtem Princewill
” Generational Conflicts in NGO”, Justice Shimenyi Amidou
“The Role of Elites in Community Development”, by Dr Sama Sylvanus
” Gender Base Violence: case of the Ngoketunjia Girl Child “, Justice Banmi Patience Epse Gana
” Agricultural Innovations: Youths Exploiting their Environment ” , host Mr Sunday Geoffrey
“The Impact of ICT on Youths,” presented by Mr Sama Terence.
Since 2019, NGOYSA has been organizing cultural and sporting events for the same purpose, but this time around, the association has leapfrogged to a new strategy, to promote academic excellence, campaign for an effective back-to-school 2022/23, as well as promote love, unity, peace and solidarity amongst the sons and daughters of the 13 villages that make up Ngoketunjia Division.
At the end of the sensational cultural and scintillating give away ceremony, that was graced by the presentation of traditional meals and artistic show out. The organizers expressed their delight to host the subsequent editions back in the Ngoketunjia Division.
