Elites plying the Kumba-Ekondo Titi road have heaved a sigh of relief, following Government’s decision to construct that lane. The information was made public recently during a meeting that brought together, Traditional rulers from Ndian and Meme Division.
Chaired by the Minister Director of Civil Cabinet at the Prime Minister’s office Balungeli Confiance Ebune, the traditional rulers pledged their unflinching support to the Military Engineering core, that was awarded the project to construct that stretch which was completely abandoned due to attacks from secessionists.
Speaking during the meeting, one of the members of the Parliament Hon Njume Peter said, they will ensure they work closely with the military engineering core to ensure the road is completed.
“The Head of State has come back to see that this road is constructed. We have taken the decision to accompany the Head of State by also collaborating with those constructing the road, to ensure it is completed.”
The project to construct the road which effectively kicked off on the 4th of November, is part of the commitment taken by President Paul Biya in the Green Tree accord to link that part of Cameroon to Nigeria.
